A cooperation protocol was signed between our university and Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality. Within the scope of the protocol, it is aimed to provide training for the personnel of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department by our University Continuing Education Application and Research Center, and to provide training, administrative and technical support to the Civil Defense and Firefighting program of our Bünyan Vocational School and to organize joint exercises.

Our Rector Prof. spoke at the cooperation protocol signing ceremony held at the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor's office. Dr. Kurtuluş Karamustafa, Metropolitan Mayor Dr. for his support to our University. He thanked Memduh Büyükkılıç. Our Rector Karamustafa said, “We have a Civil Defense and Firefighting program at Kayseri University Bünyan Vocational School. You have always supported our students in this school regarding their vocational education from past to present, for this we would like to thank our esteemed President Dr. We would like to thank Memduh Büyükkılıç and Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality. "We are signing this protocol to enable our students to become more qualified firefighters and civil defense experts with high field experience after graduation, by using the opportunities of our Metropolitan Municipality," he said.

Metropolitan Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç said, “Our Rector continues to work in harmony with public institutions and organizations and with a solution approach. Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality's KAYMEK, fire brigade and Spor A.Ş. "He always shows the will to work with our units such as these," he said.

Stating that, as the Metropolitan Municipality, they always support Vocational School education, Mayor Büyükkılıç said, “We attach importance to Vocational Schools and stipulate that the personnel we will recruit to our units, for example, if we are going to recruit personnel for the fire department, must be a firefighter graduate. Our aim is to emphasize the importance of vocational schools and to hand over the job to experts who know the job. This term, we recruited 59 firefighters, 4 of whom were girls. All 59 firefighters are firefighter graduates. By cooperating with our fire brigade and this department of our Vocational School, both during the internship process and the graduation process, we will do our part to support, educate, teach, and give them the opportunity to get to know the field and do more productive work. May this beautiful protocol be beneficial and auspicious. Field personnel are very important, we attach great importance to this. "We give opportunity to our brothers who know their job, take ownership of their job and try to do it in the best way," he said.

Our Rector, Prof., for the fire tower that Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality will build so that our students at our University Bünyan Campus can receive more qualified firefighting and defense applied vocational training.
